DANO was founded in November 2002 as a subsidiary of its Norwegian and Danish parent companies i.e. Continental Ship Management A/S
and Fabricius Marine A/S (today ERRIA A/S). Initially the company was engaged in providing purchasing, ship supplying and crewing services for the fleet of ships operated by stockholding businesses. In March 2005 the shareholders decided to enter into a new business venue, Ship Management focused on small tonnage segment, covering variety of following services:

- technical management
- crewing
- financial
- insurance
- ISM
- ISPS
- purchasing
- Lotus Notes IT services

Presently, DANO renders services for about 50 vessels and more than 30 Shipping Companies around the world.

DANO is aimed to provide first class services by well qualified staff, extensive access to international marine contacts and through high standards of Ship Management confirmed by the Documents of Compliance,
issued under the Authority of various Flag States.
